The site is no stranger to activity, having been continuously developed over the last 400 years. For the first time in its history however, the entire area is being planned strategically as a network of villages and hamlets alongside an employment hub, all set within a generous green backcloth. The planned North Lanarkshire Pan Orbital Link Road will improve the already excellent transport links of the wider site.
The Masterplan draws together a series of legacy planning permissions and recasts the site as a new neighbourhood. Berryhill is the first phase within the Masterplan and we are in discussions with North Lanarkshire Council concerning the next two phases: a new Employment Hub and the larger village in the centre of the site.
The Employment Hub will likely come forward for planning in 2022, whilst the larger village will be linked to the forthcoming North Lanarkshire Pan Orbital Link Road, due for delivery in 2026.
House sales will begin at the end of 2022 or early 2023
